What is a doula?

Every woman deserves to have someone there to guide and assist them in making educated choices about their pregnancy, and remind them that they can trust the strength of their bodies during this time. Someone to instill strength and reduce fear.

Doulas support clients through pregnancy, birth and the post partum period through information, physical touch and emotional support. Where a medical provider ensures healthy mom and healthy baby, a doula ensures a healthy mind and body. Doulas are there to "mother the mother"

Doulas do not provide any medical services or care.

About Me

Gianna Dipasquale, CD-L, PIC

Hello beautiful beings and welcome to my page! My name is Gianna and I am a certified professional Labor and Postpartum Doula.

I was born and raised on Long Island, and I have provided care to families in the area through childcare and running my own pet sitting business since 2016. When I'm not reading or talking about birth, postpartum and all things women health and motherhood I love to practice yoga, travel and spend time outdoors.

The strength and ability of women to create and birth has always inspired me, calling me to the field of birth work following receiving my bachelors degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University.

Pregnancy, birth and post partum can be an empowering experience with the right support, love and guidance.

I'm certified through ProDoula as a Labor Doula and Post-Partum Infant Care Specialist.

It is my passion to empower women and their partners/families during the pregnancy, birth and postpartum period.

"Gianna was amazing though my entire long birth. She helped me breathe though my contrations and pressed on my back when I was having one felt amazing. She helped me in any way she could when I needed her. If you are looking for a doula she is the person to call. She is amazing! Thank you again for being there though my entire birth."
